Fiction

It was surprising for me to learn that Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea was actually science fiction. What was so fictional about it? A submarine?

Well, it turns out that when the book was published in 1870s, nothing nearly as advanced as Captain Nemo's Nautilus existed. People could only dream of such a submarine. And yet, nowadays, submarines are even more advanced.

It's crazy to think how something that once belonged to science fiction became reality in a span of mere few centuries. It makes me wonder how many things we dream of today might become reality in our lifetime.

And what's even more inspiring is that we have a chance to turn someone else's dream into reality.
